Cash Flow Planner

See the cash coming in and going out, weeks ahead. A bookkeeper keeps a 13-week forecast from the invoices and bills you expect, warns you about the first week cash dips below your cushion, and tries what-ifs such as a late payer or a new hire without touching the plan.

What’s inside

The crew

  • Bookkeeper Crew leadA careful keeper of a small business's books: every receipt booked with its proof, every entry in a category, each month closed on a checklist, and the cash planned weeks ahead.

Actions the crew can take

  • Cash forecastThe 13-week cash forecast: the first week cash drops below the cushion (the warning week) and what goes out then, the tightest week, cash in the bank, late items, every week-end balance, and each what-if compared with the plan.
  • Set balanceSave the cash in the bank (amount in ordinary units, as of a date, default today) and, if given, the cushion to keep on hand.
  • Add cash itemSave money the business expects: an invoice coming in or a bill going out, once or repeating (weekly, biweekly, monthly, quarterly).
  • Settle cash itemRecord that expected money came in or a bill was paid: a one-off leaves the forecast, a repeating one moves to its next date, and the bank balance moves by the amount.
  • Remove cash itemTake an expected item out of the plan for good, such as a cancelled job or a bill that ended.
  • What ifTry a what-if without changing the plan, under a short scenario name: delay an expected item by some weeks (a month late is 4), drop one, or add a new cost or income such as a hire; 'clear' removes the scenario.
  • List cash itemsEvery expected item and what-if change, with ids, amounts, dates and repeats.

Each action is a small script that changes the app’s files, checked by Gezel’s security settings before it runs.
